About Me

hi! i'm vee. i made this site at the tail end of my second year in graphic design. i'll be sharing my work here, including print, web, digital design and the (very) occasional animation.

i've been a highly creative person for as long as i can remember, spending my youth doodling, sketching and painting on any scraps of paper i could find. initially i had ambitions to go into architecture, but i quickly realised that as much as i enjoyed design technology and physics at GCSE, i was not cut out for it in higher education :p

my journey in graphics began at a-level, where i did graphic communications. im still not sure what the difference is between design and communications to be honest. i also took photography at a-level, and i landed an A in both subjects! i really enjoyed working with photoshop and indesign at a-level, but i had a particular affinity for making things physically. at university, i love working with physical media (book binding, screen printing, riso, letterpress, etc), but in an effort to avoid excess waste, i am expanding my horizons into web and digital work.

aside from graphics, i love making and listening to music. it's one of the most important forms of media for me. my taste ranges all the way from chicago house music to ethiopian tizita, so if we ever get chatting i'm always down to give some music recommendations!
